From the recording PRAYER OF THE UNBORN

PRAYER OF THE UNBORN (LET ME BE).  This song touches on the issue of abortion and the right to life from the viewpoint of the unborn, who plead with God and (indirectly) to all of society for a chance to experience life and love as it was meant to be.

Lyrics

REFRAIN:
O let me be, Lord of my life, let me be me!
Let me see the light of day, all the wonders a world away.
O Lord, please hear my plea and let me be!
VERSE 1:
So many souls falling asleep for the rest of time,
Like stars in the sky blinking out before they shine.
Though somewhere we all know, there is a place
Where we shall go to see God face to face.
VERSE 2:
So many lives lost in the tears falling like rain,
While sounds of silence are haunting those who remain.
Life and love, one and the same, so it might seem,
But for me life may be only a dream.
VERSE 3:
Sometimes we feel only the dark keeping us apart,
For love of all life starts as a thing of the heart.
So in my small way I pray to him above.
Let me end someday in the arms of love.
